Elvina de Almeida, is an Angolan businesswoman and social activist who joined the business world from an early age. Starting as a small entrepreneur, she later moved to the general trade sector.
Best known as “Vina Criolo”, she currently owns the “King & Queen” sewing studio and is the General Director of “King & Queen Eventos”, the company responsible for Miss and Mister Angola Plus Size, Miss and Mister Angola Infantil, Miss Angola Mother, Miss Angola Low, Miss and Mister Angola Senior Citizen and Plus Size Fashion Week.
After several requests from the public, she felt the need to create different cultural events, with the aim of raising self-esteem, return smiles by promoting intellectuality, health and wellness and project socialization among the candidates making her the first businesswoman in her country to implement contests for ‘out of the box’ delegates.
Vina won the “Angola 35 Degrees” award in April 2019 in the economy and business category. She also won “Designer of the Year 2017” award for the “King & Queen” brand. Wife, mother and housewife, Elvina de Almeida was the first fashion designer to include Plus Size models on the catwalk of the Angola Fashion Week 2015.
